City Meets Soul:
Auckland,
16-18 October ‘26

A city immersion set inside Auckland’s most considered spaces.

Two days shaped by design, proximity, connection and experience, set within New Zealand's most refined coastal city, where standards are felt — across business, lifestyle, service and design.

City Meets Soul is built on a simple premise — that environment shapes how we think, what we notice, and the level we operate at.

Rather than removing you from life to create change, these immersions place you inside experiences where environment, conversation, and proximity naturally begin to shift perspective.

Over a few days, that proximity begins to do something.

You notice more.
You refine faster.
You see your own work and decisions from a different vantage point.

Not because you’ve been taught something new,
but because you’ve been exposed to something different.

That’s where the value sits.

About City Meets Soul

The Setting

At the centre of this immersion is The Hotel Britomart.

A design-led hotel in the heart of Auckland’s Britomart precinct, known for its considered simplicity, natural materials, and exceptional service. It is also New Zealand’s only 5 Green Star hotel — recognised for leading environmental performance across both its construction and ongoing operation.

There is a particular quality to spaces like this.

Where nothing is rushed.
Where detail is intentional.
Where the way something is held — from the interior, to the service, to the pace — begins to influence how you hold yourself.

It’s subtle, but noticeable.

You think more clearly. You move differently. Your standards are elevated — not through effort, but through exposure.

This is where you’ll stay, where the immersion begins and returns each day.

Britomart itself offers an iconic world of dining, independent fashion, and design-led retail — allowing you to move through the city with ease while remaining within a consistent level of quality.

Why Environment Matters

The spaces we place ourselves in shape how we think.

The level of detail.
The quality of service.
The way something is designed, delivered, and experienced.

It all informs what we notice — and what we begin to expect and normalise.

Over these two days, you’re not stepping away from your work.
You’re stepping into environments where service, design, and decision-making are held to a higher standard.

And from that, something shifts.

The way you see your own work and business.
The way you refine, design and curate your ideas.
The way you approach what you’re building — and how it’s experienced by others.

This is where growth takes shape — through proximity, not pressure. Through pace, not panic.

The Experience

Friday

Arrival & Opening Dinner

Arrival into Auckland and check-in at The Hotel Britomart.

The immersion begins with dinner at Kingi, located within the hotel.

Kingi is known for its ingredient-led approach, with a menu centred around sustainably sourced seafood and seasonal produce. The experience is designed to be shared — a five-course menu served with a level of care and attention that feels both relaxed and considered.

This first evening is not structured or directive. It allows for a gradual arrival — into the space, the group, and the pace of the weekend.

Beginning here is deliberate.

In an environment where the details are already held, conversation tends to move more easily. There is less need to perform or explain, and more space to settle, connect, and become present to what the next few days might open.

Saturday

Stella Women in Business Event

At the centre of the weekend is the Stella Women in Business event.

A room filled with women across business, leadership, entrepreneurship, and creativity — all bringing different experiences, perspectives, ambitions, and years of rich stories that have shaped who they are today.

There is something powerful about being in rooms like this.

Rooms where conversations expand.
Where new ideas land.
Where you see reflections of yourself in other women.
Where ambition feels energising and authentic.

Throughout the day, you’ll hear stories, insights, and conversations that invite you to think differently about leadership, visibility, success, and the kind of life you want to keep leading.

For many women, this becomes one of the most impactful parts of the immersion.

Because of the energy and who they become in proximity to it.

Sunday

Integration & Close

We close with a long brunch at Amano.

Amano carries a particular kind of energy — generous, grounded, and well resolved. Known for its European-inspired menu and commitment to quality ingredients, it’s a space that feels both inspiring and easy to be in.

After a full weekend, this shift in pace matters.

A slower table.
Unhurried conversation, where connections have been made and friendships deepend.
Room to sit with what may be unfolding, without needing to define it too quickly.

From here, the immersion comes to a natural close.

Britomart is right outside — offering time to move through the city at your own pace. Shopping, a final coffee, a walk, or even extending your stay with a ferry over to the iconic Waiheke Island.

Why Women Leave Changed

The shifts that happen during City Meets Soul are often subtle, but significant.

Women leave seeing themselves differently.

More confident in their leadership.
Clearer in their decision-making.
More honest about what they want.
More connected to the life they’ve already built — and the parts that are ready to evolve next.

For some, it’s a conversation over dinner that stays with them.
For others, it’s the experience of being in a different environment and realising how deeply their surroundings have been shaping their energy, ambition, creativity, and self-perception.

And for many, it’s simply being around other women who are also asking bigger questions about leadership, business, life-design, ambition, relationships, networks, and what comes next.

Vanessa Shepherdson, Founder:

“Connection was the biggest thing I took from City Meets Soul - with the women there, the city itself, and the space to reflect on what’s needed in both my life and business. The whole immersion felt incredibly thoughtful and supportive, and it helped me realise the way I approach my business can also be applied to other areas of my life. Such a well-thought-out experience. Take me back!”

“City Meets Soul helped me see myself as a leader — in the way I’m living, what I want to achieve, and the standards I want for my life. Since returning home, I’ve realised how much environment impacts the way we think and grow, and that I’ve likely outgrown some of the spaces I’ve been operating in.

Amy carefully thought through every part of the experience, from the beautiful spaces and incredible service to the conversations that challenged and expanded the way we think about ourselves and our lives. Being in the city brought a completely different energy — one that inspired creativity, reflection, and fun.”
